New Community Grants from Devon County Council

Devon County Council have today (16th April) launched a new fund called "Making the Connection" for groups to make applications for grants up to £300 to either help establish or support existing activities that bring people together in our communities, and especially those who reach out to th lonely and sociall isolated.

These grants may be particularly suitable for churches who run activities such as lunch clubs, coffee monrings, craft afternoons - and links very well with our own DCRF Communitiy Activities Project of linking up our activities with those who may benefit from thm through "social prescribers" and "community connectors".

A further grant scheme for larger projects called "Doing What Matters" will be ready in May
