15th May - Concert - LYRA will be performing at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Stockland on the evening of 15th May. They are a small, mainly “Acappella” vocal ensemble, although they perform some solo songs with piano accompaniment, and were founded in St. Petersburg, Russia. The group consists of 4 members that are educated either as opera singers or choir conductors in St. Petersburg Conservatory. Tickets will shortly be on sale throughout the Five Alive Mission Community.

14th July 2019 - Rural MIssion Sunday "Live the Life" Rural Mission Sunday is an annual event celebrating the work of small rural churches. Get involved by holding a special service at your church or in your community. Keep an eye on the Germinate page for new information - or look at resources from previous years for ideas.

23-27 September 2019, Lee Abbey - Faith and the Future of the Countryside - This conference will explore the rapidly changing face of the countryside in England and the role that the Church can play in shaping it. Drawing on the experience and insights of the delegates, it will provide an opportunity to think together about a wide range of rural subjects, including the environment, agriculture and leisure. In addition there will be input designed to offer spiritual refreshment for the participants. Bookings:

12th October 2019 - 10 am to 1 pm followed by shared lunch, Teign Valley Community Hall, Christow. "A Year of Rural Worship: God in Farm, Field and Village" - a DCRF workshop in conjunction with the Farming Community Network, Growing the Rural Church, Diocese of Exeter Worship, Prayer and Spirituality Group. Develop a seasonal calendar of worship opportunities focused on the farming year, special nature days, family and community celebrations and festivals; receive input from the FCN on their special worship events, share ideas and create new ones and gather together shared resources.
