Stepping Stones - Youth Work for everyone - 3rd March 2018, St Mary's Church Bideford

Paul Reisbach (Exeter Diocese Youth Worker) says

Over the last few years, I have come to realise that there are a lot of churches in Devon that feel like “youth work” is just beyond them; that it’s too much.

I am hoping to use this day conference “Stepping Stones” to help people realise that youth ministry doesn’t have to be all singing, all dancing but there are many ways that they can make small steps (hence stepping stones) toward working effectively with young people in their area.

For some this might mean starting some sort of youth club – but for others it may be as simple as committing to pray with (some sort of focus or structure) for the young people in their area/ local school on a regular basis.

Learn about inter-generational theory, praying for and working with young people
Hear stories behind having no young people to having five, ten and fifteen; connecting and relating in different contexts
Leave with practical resources, encouraged, and a clear idea of where to go next
