24th October 2018 - Exeter Eco Diocese continues to develop slowly and a gathering with Bishop Nick McKinnell to progress Eco Churches in Devon will be held at St. Edward’s, Eggbuckland, Plymouth on - a poster can be downloaded here

31st October 2018 - Growing the Rural Church Conference: Building Conversations - Churches for Rural Communities to be held in The Welcome Centre, Coventry. Workshops will explore a range of sustainable approaches to rural mission and ministry. See the poster here for further details and booking information.

9th November 2018 - Living with Dementia: Rural Issues and Solutions - Dementia mainly affects those over 65 and, given increasingly elderly populations in the countryside, will make a significant impact on people living in the countryside. The University of Plymouth will be hosting a free workshop on dementia in the countryside. The aims are to: present findings from recent work on rural dementia; work with practitioners to identify solutions; consider how to improve working practices to care and support those living with dementia. We invite practitioners, policy makers and people living with dementia to attend this meeting and share their experiences and advice on dementia, the countryside and good working practices.The workshop is free and includes lunch. 17th November 2018 - Hope in Conflict - Exploiring Creative Approaches to Peacemaking - with the Corrymeela Community at the Alumni Auditorium, The Forum, Streatham Campus, University of Exeter, followed by an evening of poetry reading. 20th November 2018 - Send a Cow Prayer Event. From Devon to Uganda, hear stories of faith in action and pray for Africa’s future. 2pm to 4 pm and 6pm to 8pm at St Stephens Church: High Street, Exeter, EX4 3LW. 20th to 21st November 2018 - Rural Officers Gathering, at the Arthur Rank Centre, Stoneleigh. The focus will be on church growth (in discipleship, service and numbers).
