Item 4 - Notes from the last meeting

Item 5 - Previous actions - there has been an outstanding action to collect together resource material for churches working with people with dementia and especially on developing "Memory Cafes". Please see the Exeter Diocese webpage on dementia friendly churches which has links to a large number of resources for support. All follow up actions for Item 7 have been completed.

Item 6b - DCRF Rural Worship Workshop - this event will take place on Saturday Oct 12th and we wll let you know how it went at the meeting. In the meantime the final programme for the day can be found here.

Item 6c - Farm Visit Programme - since our last meeting our Dartington Hall Farm Visit has hppend - you can find a report and photos from the day here

Item 8a - Harvest Update.

Item 8 b Community Activities Database - We have decided that the project fits very well with that of the Exeter Diocese Mental Health Round Table who also have work involving Social Prescribing to help alleviate lonlieness and social isolation and so our DCRF work will be amalgamated with this programme.

  • 30th October - Modern Slavery Event - Ottery St Mary
  • 31st October - Free evening event:  The impacts of night lighting on humans and wildlife - County Hall - Exeter
  • 7th November - On Thursday 7th November, 1:30-4:30pm, Church Urban Fund will be hosting an afternoon of discussion around church growth, discipleship and social action at the Riverside Conference Centre in Exeter.
  • 21st November - The Bright Field Community will host a "Reimagining Rural Ministry" Day at St John's Church Wellington. The day’s programme, open to both lay and ordained, will provide new insights into rural ministry, a reflective time of lectio divina and develop the conversations and good practice emerging across the South West.
