I attended as a guest of the wider village community at the planting of 8 apple trees in a field owned by the village. I offered to say a prayer and give a blessing.
This is what I prepared. In the event we didn’t water in the trees as the ground was already very wet after heavy rain, so the water prayer was omitted. And I merged the soil prayer with the “May these trees …” as it seemed more appropriate.
