Modern Slavery - Freedom Sunday is 15 October
Freedom Sunday is a global day of worship, prayer and action on human trafficking held annually on the closest weekend to Anti-Slavery Day (18 October). The Church of England has now launched the three-year ‘Clewer Initiative’ on Modern Slavery, intended to support dioceses and wider church networks in developing strategies for detecting modern slavery in their communities and helping to provide victim support and care. See https://www.theclewerinitiative.org/ for more information about this initiative and to access resources for churches.
